Quarterly Business Review
A quarterly business review structure connecting marketing outcomes, lessons and agreed priorities for the next period.
AgenciesAudience
A client reviewing a quarter of marketing work with the agency.
The problem to solve
A report of tasks completed can obscure which decisions changed and what remains uncertain.
Review outcomes. Choose the next priorities.
Read all six sections
- The agreed objective
Restate the business outcome and definitions used for this quarter.
- What the data shows
Present verified results against an appropriate baseline and identify missing or delayed data.
- Where the funnel changed
Separate acquisition, qualification and conversion changes by consistent cohort.
- What the tests taught us
Show the hypothesis, result, limits and decision for each completed experiment.
- What needs attention
Prioritize the few constraints with evidence and a practical owner.
- Next quarter decisions
Agree on scope, tests, measurement and the conditions that will change the plan.
How the pieces work together
| Stage or segment | Condition or need | Next step or deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | Verified outcomes and baseline | Results slide |
| Learning | Completed experiments | Test readout |
| Planning | Evidence-based priorities | Next quarter commitments |
Measurement plan
Maintain a decision log and revisit whether the previous quarter’s actions were completed and useful.
Before implementation
Reconcile all numbers to the underlying report, label estimates and preserve the distinction between activity and outcome.
Platforms and tools: Presentation, Reporting, CRM. Tool names describe the intended workflow; they do not imply an active connection or platform certification.
